Won't hurt in making Payet happy and luring more top French talent.

Re: Thierry Henry
I'd have mixed feelings about this. Had a reputation during his playing days for being something of a cunt.

Re: Thierry Henry
Lined up to replace Wenger, will come to get to know and poach our best young players and take them back to Arse in a couple of years, no thanks.

Re: Thierry Henry
he's won everything. probably the premierships best ever player. hes outspoken and doesn't mince his words. i like that. And even his assesment of Giroud has been proven right. I cant think of anyone who I would want to speak to young strikers than him.

You would have to take on board what he says because he was the best.

Re: Thierry Henry
Of course it makes a difference PD.

For all of his faults ie being shit, Zola even made Carlton Cole look like a decent forward with his coaching of him that one season.

If a youngster listens to what Henry has to say on movement or finishing, then it can't be a bad thing.

Waste of time. Won't mean a fucking thing.

Re: Thierry Henry
I don't think it really matters just as the knicker wetting/point scoring when Sheringham got a job to work with the strikers.

Re: Thierry Henry
Henry needs to be coaching because he is still in the process of doing his UEFA pro licence badges.

Could teach our strikers how to handball in the box without the ref seeing it?

What does Henry know about playing right back then???? ;-)

Also stick the cunt up top in the Europa league!

Re: Thierry Henry
Think he'd get on great with Slav. No doubt he could have a good impact, on Antonio especially.

If one of the greatest PL finishers wants to coach our strikers, I'm in.

Sven Roeder 10:05 Wed Jul 13
Re: Thierry Henry
He obviously has to be able to get his coaching over but for young strikers at the club from age 14 up to ones like Fletcher he will be the striker they probably grew up wanting to be.
Would probably be useful to use talking to 18-21 yo's we are trying to steal from clubs like ...:: Arsenal.

Hate him as a pundit but I would imagine he would be okay as a coach in small doses.... having quality around the place can't hurt I guess.

Re: Thierry Henry
I just read that he was working for free at Arsenal.

It's a bit of a piss take if Wenger did ask him to give up his other job that paid - that's of course if they were going to continue paying him nothing.

Can't see anything bad at all coming from our young players working with someone like Thierry HENRY.

Sounds to me reading between the lines as if Wenger didnt rate him or they have had a falling out?

Thierry Henry has left Arsenal after manager Arsene Wenger said he could not combine his job as a television pundit with his youth coaching role.

Trevor B 9:54 Wed Jul 13
Re: Thierry Henry
He is quite good at caressing his fellow pundits knee's though.

Sven Roeder 9:53 Wed Jul 13
Re: Thierry Henry
Wenger gave him the ultimatum of continuing with the Arsenal juniors only if he gave up his Sky job.
Didn't think it helped for him to be on Sky calling Giroud a massive donkey and then having to mix with the squad.
I still find it hard to believe Sky pay him £4m a year

Pssst .... he isn't very good on the tv

I'm sure he could do a Sheringham type role with the strikers at the club.
